What does SoSaSe mean?

We get asked this very often!

SoSaSe has no meaning in the dictionary, however to us it means everything!

It’s the first 2 letters of each of our 3 daughters. Some of the ranges of bonbons are named after them, only after they have signed off on the taste quality of course!

We post to many countries around the globe, we cannot estimate realist times for delivery, and we do not track individual orders once processed. So many factors can come into play for shipping times, e.g. weather conditions, customs checks, flight plans, seasonal volumes in the destination country.

My bottle of butter is rock hard?

Cocoa butter is solid at room temperature, please see the section called “Butter Types” on the website, that provides information on tempering / melting your butter.

Are your cocoa butter Kosher?

No, we have not sort certification for Kosher accreditation. They are all plant based.

Are you cocoa butters Halal?

Yes, they are considered Halal, they are all plant based and no alcohol is used in the production process at any stage.

What is the shelf life of my chocolates?

All our bonbon boxes have a menu card a consume by date* although they will last for many weeks beyond that date, it is hoped that you will consume the bonbons within 2 weeks of delivery. For items such as advent calendars we will stock them with a range that is compatible with the 25 days required for the calendar.

How do I store my chocolates?

They will arrive in packaging that will protect them from sunlight, however you must try to keep them cool or away from heat sources. If the place you store them is particularly warm, they will melt and lose their appeal. They can be kept in a refrigerator if it is too warm or above +25oc room temperature, however they will lose their shine and are prone to collecting condensation when removed from the cold storage. This will affect the colours & shine of the bonbons and of course, if you’re eating cold chocolate, you’ll perhaps not be able to taste the individual flavour notes. A cool, dark, dry place is always best between +16 / +21oc is ideal.

What if I have allergies?

Each box that we send has a list of ingredients that highlight any of the current 14 allergens.

A full list of ingredients is also available on the website.

It is IMPORTANT TO KNOW. THAT, we work in a facility that handles multiple allergens, including  milk nuts, nut products, gluten, and Soya so we cannot guarantee that our products are free from these ingredients throughout the process.

FAQs

How many can I order?

We can fulfil any sized order, if you want to purchase a large quantity for a special event or a celebration, we would ask that you contact us in advance, so that we can talk through your requirements and perhaps make a bespoke product that aligns with the event either in colour, shape, size, and flavour. If you want something truly bespoke and original, then we have the experience and knowhow to do it.

We’ve created bespoke chocolates for racing cars brands, HR companies, product launches, hotel Spa collections, product launches and weddings.

Will my chocolate package fit in a letter box?

The smaller 12 box will fit through a standard letter box, however not all sizes are equal, so it would be fair to say that they are best signed for at delivery if you feel that the letterbox won’t accommodate.

Worth mentioning, if you have a furry four-legged friend in the house, posting through a letterbox might not be your best option, as they love my bonbons as much as you do!

So get them signed for, It will save your chocolates and save unnecessary time in the “dog house” for your loved one!
